M20 Super Sport 2.5L Engine

Our "Stage 2" engine. The BimmerHeads "Super Sport" M20 2.5L long block engine is for the true enthusiast! This version of our M20 engine is great for those planning to build a street beast that will scream at high RPMs. Take things to the next level by adding our Mahle Motorsport 2.5L 10:1 compression pistons to your Super Sport engine build.

All BimmerHeads M20 engines undergo in-house testing on our custom built engine run stand in order to break in the camshaft and engine components, check for engine oil leaks, and of course for quality control. We NEVER slap something together just to send it out the door.

Our Super Sport 2.5L engine comes standard with our fully rebuilt Super Sport spec 885 cylinder head. This head allows multiple options for camshaft choices. Our Super Sport cylinder head is completely torn down and rebuilt receiving the following:

• Cleaning
• Pressure testing
• Resurfacing
• Porting & polishing by hand
• New Supertech valves
  
• New valve guides
• New valve seals & camshaft seals
• New performance dual valve springs
• New forged steel rocker arms
• New rocker arm hardware & eccentrics
• New intake & exhaust studs

Our Super Sport 2.5L engine bottom end is completely torn down and rebuilt receiving the following:

• Magnaflux block to check for cracks
• Deck resurfacing
• Boring & honing
• New Mahle pistons
• New wrist pins & piston rings

Our engines are built to order. There are no cancellations allowed on engine orders. Please expect a minimum lead time of 14 weeks due to our current workload.

Price INCLUDES a refundable $700 cylinder head core charge and a refundable $300 engine short block core charge.
