Performance Engine Ground Cable

Our Performance Engine Ground Cable is a heavy-duty replacement for the original engine-to-chassis ground strap, built with 2 AWG marine-grade tinned copper and sealed terminal connections. Years of exposure can leave the original strap corroded and unreliable.

• 10" version: Fits BMW E30 with M10, M20, or M21 engines, and E30 M3 with S14. Replaces BMW part number 12511714039
• 15" version: Fits BMW E30 with M42 and all E36 models. Replaces BMW part number 12421737755
• Full-size oxygen-free copper with fine, flexible strands tinned for corrosion resistance
• Tin-plated copper terminals with 8mm mounting holes and crimped connections protected by adhesive-lined heat shrink
• Insulation resists oil, fuel, heat, and abrasion
• Made in the USA

Lengths are measured center-to-center between the mounting holes. The 15" version should fit most E32, E34, and E46 applications as well. Confirm your original cable’s length before ordering.

We use this cable in-house at BimmerHeads, whether replacing an aging original strap or installing a fresh engine. If you’re putting together parts for a build, it’s worth adding to the list.
