M20 Intermediate Shaft Gear

The intermediate shaft gear drives the engine’s oil pump via the timing belt. Early M20 engines (1987 and older) used a stamped-steel version that can become failure-prone with age and fatigue. At BimmerHeads, we install the updated late-model OE BMW gear on every M20 engine we build in-house.
