M30 Cam Sensor Plate

The M30 never came with a camshaft position sensor from the factory. The MRT Engineering Cam Sensor Plate adds cam sensing capability to your M30 or S38 for use with any compatible standalone ECU.

• Compatible with all M50 / M52 / M54-style camshaft sensors (M50NV VR-type, M50 Vanos Hall-type, M52 Siemens, M54 Hall-type)
• 360° adjustable trigger lever — set home signal to any position your ECU requires
• Trigger lever replaces original distributor rotor
• CNC-machined AW-6082 aluminum cover with black anodized finish
• Sensor adapter CNC-machined from black POM
• Replaces distributor cap (BMW Part No. 12111725070 or 12111715905)
• Comes with mounting hardware and MRT Engineering decals
• Cam sensor not included (available as an add-on above)

Fitment: M30 and S38 engines. Not compatible with the original ECU or harness. May not fit with aftermarket camshaft pulleys or sprockets.

A must-have for any M30 or S38 standalone ECU build. We run this kit on our own builds and wouldn’t use anything else.
